I was given projects that would make a real impact to the company and I was given responsibilities early on.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I developed a much stronger understanding of futures, options, swaps, risk management, hedging and commodities trading. My data analytics skills significantly increased. I also became much better at communicating with colleagues and became more confident in myself.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I communicated daily with my line manager who helped and guided me on various tasks. Team members all wanted to support my learning and gave me time to shadow or ask questions about their work.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There was a culture around succeeding together as a team which meant that everyone was willing to give me hours of their time to ask questions and learn. It was a very good learning environment and everyone I networked with across the company really wanted to get to know me.
