Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The vacation scheme involved a training week followed by 2 weeks of project work. The projects were in 1 of 3 industries, with preferences submitted prior to the internship. Teams were made up of 5 interns. Extensive training was provided, a personal buddy was asigned and throughout the project each team had a mentor. Networking was strongly encouraged. Periodic spotlight sessions on industries took place throughout the program. At the end, project work was presented.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Despite there being a vast array of roles available within the business and an overwhelming number of industries and sectors available, the organisational structure, career path and growth opportunities were all well described and a clear picture was given.
