Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Providing hardware and software support to plant, monitoring plant IT security, network monitoring, data backup management, carrying out emergency procedures, machine management (building, updating, decommissioning), assisting other departments with IT related issues.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given as much responsibility as I requested, on specific aspects where I was more comfortable I was given more responsibility, whereas others I would learn from watching, overall a good balance of responsibility.

My placement was made enjoyable by my team with a good social grounding and as much support as possible. The duration of my placement has proved an enjoyable experience.
