Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Projects I was mainly involved in was MD Promotion - where I supported in gathering numbers and names of MDs who were newly promoted or hired that were going to attend workshops based in new york. I supported in the administrative and logistics of building decks and creating name badges for over 200 attendees.
Another Project is succession planning whereby I ensure up to date database. The rest of my projects involved revamping websites and newsletters that supported the business (with a fresh set of lenses) in order to make it more modern.
These projects involved good time management, mailbox management, and also a lot of excel and powerpoint. Meetings on a daily were also common.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
More project based responsibility, I was given tasks to pull data and make a deck to present to an MD, and as an intern you are given that analyst expectations and roles to an extent.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Soft skills my communication has improved a lot as in a corporate setting time is very valuable, therefore being able to express thoughts and opinions need to be relevant and concise. I have developed good client and relationship management by being prompt in responses as well as being a good listener and actively engaging in conversations.
Technical skills developed during my time here is excel and powerpoint. In particular being able to use VLOOKUP function and pivot tables in order to crunch numbers and data. Powerpoint trainings included how to format decks and what should be included stylistically.
