Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Day to day I am mostly doing outline designs for various projects. This invloves working on designers risk assessments, CAD drawings, and other documents that are required.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I felt I was given a good amount of responsibility in my placement and I was able to lead the design for some projects. I was allowed to manage my own time and tasks throughout the placement

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

My communication skills have improved significantly since starting the placement, mostly due to the increase in confidence I have gained.
Also I have improved drastically at using industry software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I really enjoyed my time at Arcadis and have made some good friends along the way. The company culture has been amazing and I can't wait to come back.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my placement, I have improved in soft skills as well as industry skills. The people in Arcadis always made me feel welcome and I would recommend the placement to anyone.
