Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I work within CPG , my tasks involve upskilling in react and JavaScript to work on some web development to improve an existing system. I work with another intern whom we follow the standard development style of Agile (SCRUM) like the team we have been placed in.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I believe I have been given a good amount of responsibility as I have my own project to work on and I am responsible for the whole process from designing to testing.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my communication skills as I have had the opportunity to talk to a wide range of colleagues from different job roles to further develop my commercial awareness. In terms of technical skills, I will have improved my knowledge of react and Javescript.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have been given loads of support from my team and even other people at the company. I was assigned a mentor and a buddy whom are not on my team who are very supportive and helpful.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I really enjoy the company culture as its very friendly and supportive. Personally my favorite part of the company culture here is the encouragement to learn.
