Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Incredibile networking opportunities with juniors and senior managers. The event also featured and interactive sales case study and a trading competition to help students understanding what is like to work on the markets division at a major investment bank.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Understanding the day-to-day activities of a markets professional has been very insightful and useful from a “career-planning” perspective. It allowed me to understand how the different desks, products and roles within markets are related to one another.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
This event allows students to get a real insight in the activities of the market division at JP Morgan. Moreover it offered plenty of networking opportunities so as to allow participants to interact with professionals in order to get a better feeling of the amazing culture of JP Morgan and of the day-to-day activities of a markets professional. Moreover, the networking sessions allowed students to get valuable advice for a career in markets.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
JP Morgan culture seems very collaborative. During networking sessions both juniors and seniors managers were willing to give precious advice and to answer all the questions they were asked. They were always willing to help and provide their insights and advices.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
The insight event has been really helpful for me in order to understand which is the career path I want to pursue. Having the possibility of experiencing the day-to-day activities of a markets professional has been very insightful, and so was having the possibility of networking with employees at all levels of the firm.
