Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My job at Hilton entails helping the finance team with a variety of financial analysis and reporting activities. The creation of financial statements, budgets, and predictions is something I help with. I conduct financial data analysis, spot trends, and offer recommendations to support decision-making. I work with cross-functional teams to compile pertinent data and provide input to initiatives including financial planning and analysis. with addition, I help with cost analysis, process improvement potential identification, and financial research.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
While I work under the guidance of experienced finance professionals, I am entrusted with handling specific analysis tasks and contributing to financial projects. I have the opportunity to independently analyze financial data and present my findings to the team. I am also responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality in the work I deliver. This level of responsibility has allowed me to develop autonomy, attention to detail, and accountability in my work.I have been given a reasonable level of responsibility

At my internship as a Finance Analyst at Hilton, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop various skills. I have gained hands-on experience in financial analysis, data interpretation, and report preparation. I have enhanced my proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis tools. Additionally, I have developed a deeper understanding of financial systems and software used in the industry. Through interactions with finance professionals, I have also improved my communication and teamwork skills, which are essential for collaborating effectively within a finance department.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
My coworkers and managers have given me a lot of support and direction. They have given me insightful information about methods of financial analysis, business trends, and best practises. I have a mentor who helps me develop my abilities and my comprehension of the financial function by providing direction and criticism on my work. Regular team meetings and discussions have given me opportunities to obtain clarification, learn from other financial professionals perspectives, and They have given me priceless insights into the methodologies used in financial analysis, as well as market trends and best practises

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
My time spent interning with Hilton as a finance analyst has been fantastic. It has been incredibly rewarding to have the chance to work for a reputable organisation and participate to important financial research initiatives. I havve been able to enhance my skill set and apply my academic knowledge in a practical situation thanks to the demanding yet encouraging environment. My internship has been enjoyable and fulfilling because of my team and the whole finance department excellent interactions.
