Job Description

Data Analyst Higher Apprenticeship - Cloud Bridge

About Cloud Bridge:

Cloud Bridge are a fast-paced company specialising in the optimisation and delivery of professional services and managed services around all aspects of Public Cloud solutions with a specific focus on AWS.

We are looking to jumpstart our apprenticeship programme and are inviting interested individuals to join the company as our Data Analyst Apprentice - Level 4.

About the role:

A Cloud Bridge Data Analyst apprenticeship is anything but standard. As well as developing technical skills using a range of core technologies and platforms, apprentices learn to weave together the ability to source, analyse, work with data and generate insights that underpin decisions that can build a case for change.

This role will eventually include customer-facing responsibilities, from onboarding new customers to walking them through the process of our offering and performing demo of the toolsets available. Assisting customers to understand the potential opportunities in the service and solving their day-to-day queries is key to the success of this role.

This apprenticeship is ideal for new talent with an active interest in data or existing staff taking on a more data-centric role. It’s suitable for aspiring Data Analysts working in any industry or sector, who have a keen interest in customer-facing responsibilities.

If you’re seeking to maximise the benefit of time used as part of off-the-job training and develop technical capability coupled with sector-relevant skills that can be directly applied to the role, this apprenticeship might be the right option for you.

Responsibilities:

  • You will help to monitor and analyse customers’ Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, helping them to optimise their spend
  • You will help to put together reports and presentations showing how customers can get the best out of the infrastructure – in terms of spending and security
  • You will be present on some customer calls, helping to talk through your analyses of their environments. You will be focusing on optimisation opportunities and recommendations to help solve the customer’s business problems
  • There’s the opportunity to help shape the future of the Cloud Bridge FinOps practice, looking at how we can better crunch data and get valuable insights for our clients

You will need the following skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with using business web applications
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with customer-centric and collaborative approaches
  • Time and task management skills with a proactive approach to work

Entry requirements:

Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

Plus:

  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, 9am - 5pm

Benefits:

  • Health & wellness: Medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, mental health support or Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), life insurance and disability insurance (short‑term + long‑term)
  • Financial & retirement: Pension plan or employer‑matched retirement plan (e.g., 401(k), workplace pension), performance bonuses or annual bonus schemes and stock options or equity (varies by employer)
  • Time off: Paid annual leave / holiday entitlement, paid sick leave, paid public/bank holidays, parental leave (maternity, paternity, adoption) and bereavement leave
  • Work‑life balance & flexibility: Hybrid or remote‑working options, flexible working hours and compressed workweeks (in some organizations)
  • Professional development: Training and certification support, tuition reimbursement (some employers), career development programs and mentorship schemes

Future prospects:

90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing: this is 20% higher than the national average.
