Description

As an Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you’ll be working within the Braking systems team. You’ll assist in the development and manufacturing of Parker Meggitt’s products, as you get hands on experience and learn what it takes to be a successful Fitter in an innovative organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain experience to assemble/disassemble/test/repair hydraulic assemblies within the Braking Systems Hydraulic Assembly Cell.
• Attend college course and study as required. Learn skills on the shopfloor
• Comply with company and HS&E procedures.

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Working Arrangements

Work Pattern

Your contracted hours each week throughout your apprenticeship will be 39 hours Monday - Friday. Working Pattern 7am-3.30pm/8am-4.30pm/6am-2pm/2pm-10pm.

This role is based at Ansty Park & CVD, Coventry. It is recommended that you live near.

Apprentice salaries increase annually with experience and are reviewed each September, depending on individual performance. Apprentices are also included in Parker Meggitt's bonus scheme, receiving a minimum of 2.5%, which may increase depending on overall company performance.

Training provided

Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.

What does the future look like?

Upon successful completion of the programme — and subject to performance — you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship.

Other requirements

In order to apply, you must:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least the past three years prior to starting the apprenticeship.
• Have completed full-time education before the apprenticeship is due to start. For this programme, you must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
