Employer description:

Minster Law Limited is a UK law firm specializing in personal injury claims, particularly handling road traffic accidents, workplace injuries (employer/public liability), and serious/catastrophic injury, focusing on resolving cases efficiently, often through Alternative Dispute Resolution rather than court battles, for individuals and their insurers.

Overview:

An exciting opportunity to join a brand-new firm and a growing team. The successful candidate will work within the team on a variety of tasks including initial client calls, onboarding new clients and setting up their case. You must have excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong focus work ethic and be eager to work as part of and contribute to the general success of the team. You will also assist team members and management as and when required. We handle pre-dominantly road traffic personal injury claims.

Responsibilities:

  • First response for all incoming claims referrals from insurer partners and customers.
  • Recording all claim details and information onto the Case Management System (CMS) and working with the CMS and MS Excel to create new cases, entering case details accurately and filing daily correspondence. You will become a super user on this system.
  • Using the CMS and Excel to search and maintain client details, ensuring all MI is kept up to date.
  • Dealing with file requests made by staff and partners and conducting chaser telephone calls to clients, GP surgeries, hospitals, payroll departments and insurance companies
  • Collaborating digitally with colleagues via Teams and Microsoft Outlook and using Outlook to communicate with external stakeholders.
  • Using the CMS and Excel to search and maintain client details, ensuring all MI is kept up to date.
  • Providing advice on the claim process to customers, and gathering information such as receipts, photographs or valuations. Escalating doubtful, complex or high-value claims to a solicitor.
  • Gathering information on new claims referred to the department, and assisting with scanning, of mail, correspondence and documents and allocating to the correct files on internal system.

  • Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner and letter and email correspondence.
  • Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Salary:

£20,000 per annum.

Working hours:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5pm.
