Overview:

GM Instruments is on the lookout for a motivated, organised, and curious Digital Support Apprentice to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn how a modern medical technology business runs behind the scenes while building valuable digital, admin, and customer service skills.

If you enjoy working with systems, supporting customers, and being part of a supportive team, this role could be perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Being first response and responding to customer and supplier enquiries via telephone and email, providing a high level of customer service using Outlook and telephone systems
  • Preparing accurate customer quotations by calculating parts costings, pricing structures, and maintaining price lists using Microsoft Excel, and producing formal quotation documents using Microsoft Word
  • Using collaborative technology such as Microsoft teams to arrange and attend external meetings with customers and suppliers using Microsoft Teams and scheduling through Outlook
  • Become a systems expert on SAP Business One by Processing approved quotations into customer sales orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Generating and issuing Purchase Orders to suppliers and managing supplier transactions using SAP Business One
  • Managing customer orders from receipt through to completion, providing order progress updates and resolving queries using SAP Business One
  • Processing customer invoice requests accurately and within agreed timescales using SAP Business One, ensuring all supporting documentation is correctly prepared and stored
  • Producing customer correspondence, invoices, and supporting documents using Microsoft Word

Salary:

£16,000 per annum

Working Hours:

8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday – Thursday, 8:30am to 2:30pm on Fridays
