The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Industrial Placement to join our Communications team in our Bristol office. Are you eager to gain invaluable experience in the field of communications and develop core skills for post-graduate job applications? We’re seeking a Communications Industrial Placement Student to join our dynamic communications team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in all aspects of communications, providing hands-on experience that will enrich your understanding and expertise across a variety of projects.

Working alongside our Communications Manager and the broader communications team, you will contribute to creating impactful content and supporting both internal and external communication campaigns. This placement will set you up with essential skills and real-world experience to elevate your career in communications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create engaging and effective content for email campaigns and other communication channels.
• Support the delivery of internal and external communications projects and campaigns.
• Collaborate on crafting compelling messages and materials for a range of platforms.
• Assist with event planning and execution, including logistics and coordination.
• Manage and update mailing lists to enhance communication outreach.
• Provide administrative support, such as processing purchase orders and invoices.
• Prepare and maintain reports to monitor and assess communication activities.
• Organise and coordinate team meetings, including scheduling and preparing relevant materials.
• Contribute to strategic and tactical communication efforts to maximise reach and impact.

What We’re Looking for in You

• Working towards a relevant undergraduate degree and seeking a 12-month placement before returning to your final year of study
• Enthusiasm for learning and starting a career in communications.
• Interest in content creation and developing skills in email campaigns.
• Willingness to support and participate in various communication projects.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Interest in event planning and coordination.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage administrative tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative attitude.
• Familiarity with Office software and a willingness to learn new tools.
