Digital Support Higher Apprenticeship - Ross Promotional Products Ltd

Ross Promotional Products Ltd is a small family business, based in Glasgow city centre since 1984. We supply branded goods, workwear, promotional items and corporate gifts for public and private sector clients.

Overview:

We are delighted to have the opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining an SVQ qualification and experience as an apprentice to join us for one year.

You will successfully complete an SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Digital Application Support and gain on-the-job experience, skills and knowledge by working with our art, production, sales and finance teams in a busy and varied environment.

You will be learning how to prepare visuals for client approval and providing our clients with the highest standards of customer service through supporting and assisting our team. All the while you will be building your own knowledge of our art room and other business processes, gaining invaluable experience and skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating client visuals using product templates and client logos on Adobe
  • Adhering to brand guidelines for fonts, positions and pantone colours on the Photoshop system
  • Liaise with suppliers / clients regarding artwork (whether logos will print ok or not) via Outlook
  • Becoming a system expert on in-house customer relationship management software (Promoserve)
  • Contacting suppliers for prices and progress of orders via Microsoft 365 package
  • Entering and filing purchase invoices through Xero
  • Reconciling and filing supplier statements
  • Assisting with marketing ideas and campaign suggestions via Adobe software
  • Assisting with social media marketing

Desirable skills:

  • Experience using Adobe, Photoshop and/or other design packages would be an advantage
  • Qualifications: Minimum National 5 English and Maths plus 1 other subject

Salary: 

£16,380 per annum.

Working hours:

35-hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
