Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I help deliver marketing content across multiple channels, including email app notifications and browser notifications.
My role requires good attention to detail where I proofread copy.
I construct emails through using Adobe Dreamweaver and have a basic understanding of HTML code.
I examine data and use this to improve future campaigns.
I work closely with partnerships and engagement and retention.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

My team definitely values trust, which is something I noticed at the very start of my placement and which created a positive environment to work in. Even from the start I have always felt trusted to carry out large responsibilities such a scheduling newsletters and emails to a mass send size and reaching out to relevant teams to ensure everything went to plan. Towards the end of my placement they gave me the responsibility of helping out with a project, focusing on their relaunch on TikTok.

I have learnt and developed so many skills, some of which include:

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was given a tremendous amount of support right from the very start all the way up until the end. My team were always eager to help me develop and were open to any of my suggestions on what key skills I wanted to grow. The team and myself were always eager to help each other out too during busier times.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Living alone during my placement meant I somewhat relied on the people at work for my day to day social interactions. This proved to be fine as everyone there are super welcoming and caring. It is a fantastic atmosphere and I hope every business culture to be like TopCashbacks.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to have done one. The skills I have learnt are invaluable and the connections and friendships I have made on this placement will never be forgotten.
