Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was to support my finance team with the budgeting and tracking of marketing spend across a range of campaigns. I ran the close reports to capture any new costs and inputted them to formulated templates that pulled summaries together for our teams' stakeholders. I also pulled together earned revenue analysis for Franchise Development to support them in sizing white space opportunities in the market.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I felt like I have been given a lot of responsibility on my placement and feel very lucky to have the exposure I have received. I was able to work with a variety of stakeholders within Disney as a company, and at all levels, and was trusted to carry out work for those senior to me.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt and development a huge range of professional and personal skills. I was already quite confident, but my self-assurance has greatly increased over the course of the year. My technical skills in using the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel, have immensely improved and I have gained so much knowledge. My emotional and commercial awareness has also grown.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given lots of support during my placement from both my direct team and the wider Disney team. If I ever had any questions, my team would happily answer them and explain anything and they gave me work that pushed me to learn and excel.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is as you would expect Disney would be. The office is lively and friendly, and everyone is so nice to work with. There are lots of extra activities and events going on to bring everyone together too.
