Electronic Architect Review

Day to day basis I help the lead architect with problems and give insight to try and work out solutions. I have also been helping with obsolescence removal as well as knowledge management plans to ensure we keep the knowledge with leavers and movers as well as keeping the product available to be built by finding alternatives to obsolete parts etc. Assisted the Test equipment team also on their new kit with helping write a new set of requirements to check the new software against.

I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility and what I'd expect to be given in an industry I have never worked in before. Everyone was very helpful knowing I was on placement and often offered their insights to help me further my career and to understand the internal workings of the company

Better teamworking, better confidence, learned how to use Matrix, SAP and DOORS which is valuable.

I received a lot of support, be it my manager or people I had to contact to do my tasks. Everyone helped me understand the systems I was working on, internal processes and useful information from their personal experiences.

Positive culture and atmosphere - I got on well with the people I was working with. MBDA seems like a very fair company and doesn't fall short in either category.

I enjoyed my placement a lot and it was beneficial for me to understand what the industry I will be going into will be like and I would definitely come back to work there.
