I conducted competitor analysis - this involved a lot of open source research and information collection.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given full responsibility for my work - I was the only person working on my particular task (until I hand off the task at the end of the placement).

I learnt new skills about requirements, systems design and human factors (through a semi-nonrelated training course I assisted with).

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
As a returning intern, I was already pretty familiar with the company and what was expected of me. Beyond any training and information required to get me going, I was pretty independent. Any questions were answered promptly and well, and I had regular catchup/review sessions with the person I was working under.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I greatly enjoyed it. The fellow interns were great, and I feel like I managed to see another part of the company I hadn't seen before. The opportunity to take part in a training course was also much appreciated for the experience gained!

What advice would you give to others applying to MBDA
To be aware that depending on your team's workload/time of year, things can get quite busy quite quickly so a degree of independence is helpful - not that you wont get help if you need it!
