Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Completion of controllership tasks, such as journals, reconciliations and cashflow forecasts. Processing of payments to meet quarterly targets, including setting up vendors, raising purchase orders and processing invoices. Financial Planning and Analysis tasks, for example setting up titles on a global tracking system and completing ad-hoc reporting tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
A very large amount of responsibility. My tasks were often supervised or reviewed, however as my skills developed, I was given full ownership.

I have learnt a huge variety of skills, varying from journal creation to email communication skills to accounting procedures. My existing skills were also developed, such as my excel ability and soft skills.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Despite working entirely virtually, I was given an enormous amount of support. I couldn't have wished for more. My entire team was happy to help, as well as the rest of the company.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was a very friendly and creative culture. Everybody was extremely happy to help with anything and glad to have a short catch up or introduction.
