Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involves a wide range of tasks from creating UX designs to assisting in migration, report populating projects so I am working on different projects everyday. The following are some of my task during the year:
- Creating detailed documentation guide for internal software.
- Re-design the layout for documentation guide
- Re-design wireframes, workflows and UX design for the company to meet business requirements.
- Assist in migration, report population projects

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was able to take up quite a lot of responsibility on different projects (such as UX design projects, documentation layouts) during the placement. I was given the opportunity to unleash my creativity and ideas freely in projects and play the important role.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

This placement improved my teamworking, communication skills as well as my confidence in general. The company atmosphere encourages self-development and provide LinkedIn learning for employees to upgrade their skills for their roles. Hence, I am able to develop my skills in design, communication and technical software during my placement.

The company culture and general atmosphere is really welcoming and encouraging. Then team is supportive and friendly which is what makes the whole placement year experience unforgettable.
