Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

We get promos, campaigns and break entertainment made for the DreamWorks Channels which go in between the shows. This material then needs to get reversioned and localised in different languages. The channels which I look after are: Africa, South America and the Middle East. Once reversioned we deliver the new assets to go onto the channel.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given more responsibility than I imagined. When I found out I got the job I imagined, I would shadow someone and their channels. However, after a couple month I was in charge of two channels then after another couple of months I gained a couple more channels.

More than I expected. Every week I would catch up with my manager and discuss any problems or questions I have. We also had probation meeting 3 months into the placement

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

This year has gone so quickly. I had so much fun from early screenings to Christmas Quizzes. I learnt so much which will definitely use in future roles.
