Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

During my internship, I work with the FP&A team to assist with financial forecasting and reporting. My regular tasks include:
- review and setup acquisition deals
- track and analyse titles performance and financials
- support monthly forecasting tasks
- creating invoices and POs for Accounts Receivable queries

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of responsibility throughout my internship. This started of small but I was given more responsibility as I become more experienced in my role.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt a variety of new skills throughout my internship including:
- financial knowledge on FP&A and accounting
- communication and presenting skills
- improved proficiency in Excel and learnt new systems such as SAP and Eclipse

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture is great and very welcoming. I found NBCUniversal to be very social with various social events planned throughout the year. Along with, opportunities to join networks such as the Young Professional Network (YPN).

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Overall, I really enjoyed my internship and the skills I have gained will really benefit my future. I would recommend anyone looking to undertake a placement to apply.
