Talent and People student placement Review

My day looks different every single day!
From getting involved with recruitment, HR admin, employee relations and diversity, inclusion and wellbeing, I always have something to get stuck in with.

Yes I was- especially a couple months into the placement. I have been trusted to do things without being micromanaged such as plan an event which will host members of the Gymshark community and building up a training session for Intern's mentors.

I have learnt so much during my time at Gymshark.
I have a solid foundation of HR now due to the plethora of diverse experiences I have had such as end-to-end recruitment and shadowing and conducting employee welfare meetings eg exit interviews and maternity risk assessments. I have even had the opportunity to lead diveristy, inclusion and wellbeing projects which I am passionate about. Lastly, I have been given amazing opportunities to be trained by certified boards such as lean six sigma and mental health first aiders!
I am much more confident in my ability to work in a HR professional setting in the future.

I have been so lucky to have a great support system during my placement. From my two managers, to my internal mentor (spotter), to members of my team and cross functional contacts I have made along the way!

Everyone is super super friendly and work hard in their roles. Most people are very passionate and are helpful when you need assistance. I've never felt like I cannot ask for help- especially from my managers.

I am really enjoying my placement! There's always something super exciting coming up to look forward to. It's great because you don't mind putting in the extra effort and time if and when it's needed .
