Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

A wonderful Open Day hosted by Winston Taylor. We were given thorough insight into the firm, its work and its people. We had engaging talks from Partners, Senior Associates, Graduate Recruitment and Trainees who, in detail, took us through their experiences and enthusiastically answered our questions. A huge thank you to the Early Careers Team for hosting the event and taking the time to make sure we had a better understanding of Winston Taylor by the end of the day, as well as helpful application tips. I now have a better sense of confidence tackling the application process.

How would you rate the structure of the insight

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Details about the firm, post-merger, were clear and detailed. We were informed about the available upcoming Vacation Schemes and how to best apply, including detailed informative tips.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture and general atmosphere were undoubtedly welcoming and warm. The team was fantastic at listening and answering our questions. Partners and Senior Associates were also extremely enthusiastic about shading more information about their toles at Winston Taylor.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight and left feeling as though I had a better understanding of Winston Taylor, the work and culture. It was an enjoyable experience due to the well-planned timetable for the day, as well as wonderful snacks and food provided.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Winston Taylor

I recommend everyone who is curious to apply to the Open Day to gain more extensive knowledge about the firm, so that they can tackle the application for a Vacation Scheme with real confidence.
If applying for the Open Day, make sure to demonstrate commercial awareness, a real interest in commercial law and of course, relate all of you experiences/skills back to why that relates to the role of a Trainee at Winston Taylor.
