Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout the open day, there was a multitude of different activities that the graduate recruitment team organised for the attendees. First off, they provided a presentation on applications and interview tips, alongside a brief outline of things not to do and where applicants tend to fail to reach the expectations. Later on throughout the day, we had presentations given by partners of the firm, where there was an insight into the different type of dispute and transactional teams at Gibson Dunn. The day finished with a negotiation competition, where some of the associates of the firm guided smaller teams.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Although some of the information was online, being told by the graduate recruitment team about the business, I was really excited to be a part off.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
One of the most important skills I have developed throughout this open day was my public speaking skills. Having to speak in front of two associates and later on in front of graduate recruitment, I have been able to enhance my confidence when speaking in front of people. There are other skills that I have developed, such as time management. The time-management skills were essential for the negotiation competition and has been enhanced throughout the open day.
