vacation schemer Review

This experience was a two week vacation scheme which involved working alongside an associate in one of the departments of the firm and engaging in a variety of tasks. We were also presented with various presentations from different departments so that we can gain insight to all the different areas of commercial law. We were also given multiple opportunities to network with both formal and informal receptions.

As a university student, it was immensely valuable to understand how the business of a law firm functions but also gain exposure to the white variety of practice areas and departments that are at the firm. It also exposed me to the interconnected this of many of them which was very enriching.

yes, I developed multiple new skills specifically my adaptability my ability to work under pressure my team work as we had the opportunity to work on a group presentation along the two weeks.

The company culture was amazing. Everybody was extremely approachable from partner to trainee level but also the wider people at the firm who work in the café or who work as paralegals. Even among the two weeks I felt extremely welcome and comfortable and it’s a great place to work.

I really enjoyed my insight and I highly recommend it!

I would advise others to definitely apply and to make sure to research the firm very well before they do so as the applications are quite competitive however I believe the firm also offers open days which are a great opportunity to gain insight into the firm beyond their website.
