Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The Open Day provided a really useful overview of the firm. It included talks from the Graduate Recruitment Team, the Training Principal and trainees. Specific spotlight sessions were done on International Corporate Transactions, International Dispute Resolution and Pro Bono work. However, the best part of the day was a commercial awareness workshop where we were able to speak with associates about our ideas.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The application session gave us all the information on vacation schemes and the application process. It highlighted key skills the firm is looking for and allowed us to ask any questions we had.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The Commercial Awareness Workshop was incredibly useful. It allowed me to practice and gain experience in a group task which could occur at an assessment centre. It was really interesting hearing others ideas and seeing different presentation techniques.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was incredibly friendly and open to questions. The majority of speakers also mentioned that we could contact them if we had any questions that were not answered or that we had in the future.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I found it incredibly enjoyable. The small intake means that even though the Open Day is online, you are still able to engage with others and get involved with workshops.

There are lots of people applying for a small number of spaces so make sure you double check your application for mistakes etc. before submitting. However, don't let that put you off as it was an incredibly useful day.
