Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
JLR also go the extra mile to train soft skills as well to help round off the graduate scheme.
It is worth noting that experiences can vary team to team and does require a level of drive from the graduates regarding direct but there is guidance from managers. Business need also needs to be considered when it comes to placements.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
- Delivery of vehicle program software
- Development of vehicle system processes
- Battery cell material research and sustainability research
- High Voltage Battery Systems legal compliance & Vehicle testing
I found the opportunities for hands on learning during testing the best element of my role responsibilities.
I was also able to complete a segment in Brand and Drive Experience looking at Data Analysis and Customer Experience Improvements.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
This graduate scheme is perfect for those looking to push the boat out as JLR will not shy away from given graduates impactful and meaningful work. You will never be without support so how much responsibility given is typically based off the individuals.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
There are many perks including an initial joining bonus. I’ve not had to use many (like the digital healthcare/ wellness) but I’ve heard from others they are good. JLR also offers exclusive discounts to employees which is my favourite
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
Day to day skill training is good as many graduates will be paired with mentors within their team placements who will be experts at hat they do and willing to share knowledge
