Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Samsung Electronics?
My experience at Samsung has been extremely positive and beneficial for my personal and professional development. On the graduate scheme, I am rotating across 3 roles for 8 months each, equalling 2 years in total and it’s proving to be an enriching journey. The level of responsibility I receive is way beyond what I imagined, however it is not overwhelming and is manageable for someone of graduate level. The autonomy we get with hybrid working and general day-to-day cadence is fantastic and the company offers good benefits. As a fast-moving brand in an incredibly dynamic industry, I feel like I’m learning a great deal.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My responsibilities have included forecasting sales, managing promotional pricing, writing promotional messaging and T&Cs, coordinating product launches, and briefing agencies as a primary POC.

How is the support you receive?

The buddy system is good, line managers get a decent level of direction around onboarding and support, and there are processes in place to provide a good support network. But perhaps they need to be promoted and strengthened a bit.
How is your work-life balance?

Pretty good. I rarely have to work late despite working very hard during the core hours. Hybrid working enables us to save time on commutes and free up some evenings more.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Very hard working and serious, so as a result, slightly short of where it should be to keep morale high.
