Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The event started with a welcoming session by the head of one of the divisions. Then we had a session with graduate analysts who were on the rotation programme. They shared their experiences, answered the questions, and gave some valuable advice. Then we had a quick break. Later we had a QA session with 4 experts from different divisions of the bank, 3 senior experts and 1 analyst. Then we had a session where we learned about various applications, tips for the interviews, and deadlines. We ended with a networking session with the panellists and other employees.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It gave me a better understanding of the firm, its goals, visions, commitments, and initiatives. I found it valuable to learn about different divisions of the firm and talk to the professionals from these divisions to understand what they do and decide what I would enjoy doing the most.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture is very inclusive, diverse, kind, and welcoming. All the professionals answered all the questions and made sure that everyone was happy with their answers. I learned that senior professionals are very easy to approach which gives a great opportunity to learn a lot from them.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I would say 10 out of 10. I really liked the fact that it was long. Usually, insights events are in a rush, but this event at MUFG gave enough time to all participants to ask different questions and talk to the employees.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MUFG
Research the firm before coming to the event, and read about its history, values, different divisions, and deals. It will allow you to have some questions to ask during the event. Try to talk to different employees from different divisions to understand the culture of each division and the work it does.
