Overall, how would you describe your experience at Mott MacDonald?
Fantastic. The work is interesting, enjoyable and collaborative. I immediately felt like a member of the team, and was treated with maturity and respect.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities include designing components of wastewater treatment sites. This could be producing sketches and/or drawings of pipe routes, pump arrangements, etc. I also populate design reports, datasheets, and complete calculations. I enjoy all of the work because I am always supported when necessary and i enjoy going to site and watching the work be created.

Why?
It is an interesting company, with great culture and a fantastic work-life balance. I can see a path for myself at Mott MacDonald and I can see that others will help to push me down that path and achieve my goals. I constantly feel supported and valued, and I feel that the social aspect, and the company benefits are a great reward for the work we do.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
I would advise that people try to be themselves, and not try to be who they think they should be. Know your limits and do not attempt to supersede them for the sake of the job. If there is something you do not know, have integrity and rather than trying to compose a solution, try to think about how you would find the answer, either through the help of a colleague, or an informative document. On assessment days, include everyone, communicate effectively. Ask questions and be interested in what people have to say.
