The graduate training scheme provides a good opportunity to develop soft skills through a variety of in-person and virtual training sessions. The company provides a budget and set number of days which I can use to undertake my own training to improve areas I am not as confident in or to improve my technical knowledge.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?

5/5
The company allows 4 line-manager check-ins throughout the year. These are used to set goals for each calendar year, track progress towards them and then reflect on how the year went. These allow our personal training budgets to be targeted to our development goals.
I have also frequent interactions with my line-manager, who checks in on my workload and helps if I have any work or personal issues.

How is your work-life balance?

5/5
Work-life balance is good within the company and I have never felt pressured to work more than my standard hours. During busy periods my line manager actively checks in to ensure I am not overloaded.

Mott MacDonald is very inclusive and the staff are friendly. I have always felt supported and am able to speak to anyone within the company, from new graduates all the way up to the executive board level, if I have any issues. Overall the hybrid working policies are fair and allow a mixture of in-person and work from home time across my week.
