Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Placement with 4 x 5 Month rotations in Frontend, Backend, Mobile and product. Join a different squad for each and work as part of the team to push new changes to production.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Skyscanner have an amazing approach to responsibility. Managers are willing to push you if you want to be pushed, while also not putting any pressure on while you get up to speed.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Learnt how to work effectively as part of a team through the agile approach. From a technical stand point learnt how to develop and maintain production code. Everyone is really willing to help which is refreshing.

Continuous support when required from the squad, while also allowing you to work independently to grow. The company culture is amazing, meaning you feel you can reach out to anyone in the company from junior engineers to directors and they would he happy to help.

Company culture is what makes Skyscanner so good. There is a really friendly atmosphere, and there is a real feeling everyone loves/believes in what they work on.

Don't be afraid if you aren't an expert in the technologies which Skyscanner use, basic software experience is enough. If you have a passion for travel, and want to work as part of an amazing team who deliver real value every day then apply!
