Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The day involved an introduction to the IGNITE training contract - a training contract with Clifford Change which aims to hire individuals who are interested in getting involved in legal tech and Clifford Chance's better delivery team.
The day included a series of lectures about IGNITE, legal tech in Clifford Chance and fin-tech. It also included a workshop on basic legal-tech skills, a Q&A panel with current IGNITE offer holders and graduates, and an opportunity to network with current trainees and graduate recruitment staff at the firm. Food and drinks were provided.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The activities throughout the day differed in terms of their contributions. Personally I found that the tasks which offered the best insight into the business and potential roles available were the introduction and the Q&A panel

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learned about the IGNITE program and what to expect of the application process. I now understand how the program differs from a normal training contract and am better equipped to consider whether the IGNITE program is suitable for me. The event was also a good opportunity to have more personal conversations with staff and ask some more individual questions about working at the firm.
Overall I would say that the event was a positive experience and that it gave me a lot of insight into the firm.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I have been to several events at Clifford Chance this year and I have consistently found the atmosphere to be open, welcoming and inclusive. It has definitely made CC a top choice firm as far as I am concerned.
