Data Solutions Sales Support Review

I start the day off by completing several daily Excel tasks, such as forecast file. I typically attend Teams meetings that deconstruct these files and allow the team to get a full understanding of each deal. I also deal with cleaning up deals in Salesforce, creating PowerPoints for my managers too. Sometimes, I get invited to face-to-face meetings with customers or partners. A lot of my tasks are also ad-hoc, where colleagues ask me to track something down or create an analysis of a certain phenomenon within their workspace.

Quite a lot, I was given access to features of company sites such as Salesforce that no-one else in my team had. I am also trusted by my colleagues to collect and analyse data for external use, with partners or customers. HPE is excellent at distributing responsibility to all levels of employees. In addition, I was given a lot of freedom regarding what to do with empty slots in my day.

Absolutely, I've significantly improved my Excel and PowerPoint skills, allowing me to completely tough analyses or summarize large datasets quickly and accurately. Beyond, the physical skills, I've developed advanced communication skills, becoming less shy and more outgoing, giving me the freedom to contact whoever within the company and get their advice, help or just a chat. Furthermore, I've gathered a massive amount of knowledge about the tech industry.

As much as I needed. Our introductions and initial training was sufficient, all interns were ready to take over from the previous years' interns by the end of week 3, which is incredibly rapid. Something HPE, more specifically the support does incredibly well, is that they give you just the right amount of guidance and support, they do not overwhelm you with knowledge. Also, all members of the team were willing to give me advice at any time, no matter how busy they were.

Very warm atmosphere. Everyone, no matter their position in the company was willing to help or have a chat. It was honestly surprising how approachable everyone was. At the same time however, all were focused on their work and achieving their best, without compromising the welcoming atmosphere.

My placement is still ongoing, but so far I've absolutely loved the placement. Great culture, fulfilling work and opportunities beyond the day job have been outstanding. I'm excited for what the rest of the placement holds
