Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Being trusted to lead meaningful projects, engage with stakeholders across the business, and contribute work that had genuine value made the experience. The biggest misconception about doing internships is that you're doing admin level work, but in Aberdeen you're brought onto a team and you're contributing at the same level work as the rest of your colleagues.
What stood out most was the people and culture. Everyone was welcoming and willing to help, making it easy to build relationships and feel part of the team. Between project work, networking opportunities, learning sessions, and wider intern activities. I've developed my skills both personally and professionally. Overall, it was an extremely rewarding experience and will stick with me through future career opportunities.
