Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
During the two week scheme, I sat in two different seats at the firm. We got the opportunity to undertake real life trainee work, including drafting research notes, proofing documents, attending client meetings and taking meeting notes. The firm also organised talks, volunteering with UOcean and lots of social events with both other Summer schemers, current trainees, lawyers and teams at the firm.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The Early Talent team at the firm were brilliant in organising many events which allowed us an opportunity to understand all aspects of the firm and all areas of law the firm focuses on. They also encouraged you to arrange meetings with lawyers within your areas of interest, to gain a better understanding of how the teams work together and the work they do.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
RPC is a very friendly and approachable firm and the RPC slogan is genuine in every way. I really felt welcomed and included and they definitely encourage personality and individuality just as they promote themselves. Everyone at the firm was happy to answer any questions and eager to help you understand the work they do.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RPC
Research the firm thoroughly, to make sure the culture and the work is of interest to you. Attend events the firm organises or attends and talk to its current employees. Don't be afraid to show your personality, yet remain professional and interested.
