Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at RPC?

Overall, my experience at RPC has been very positive. I’ve felt well supported by colleagues and supervisors, and I’ve had strong opportunities to learn and develop through high-quality work and constructive feedback. The culture is collaborative and inclusive, and people are generous with their time, which makes it easier to ask questions, build confidence, and take on increasing responsibility. I’ve also appreciated the clear communication and the focus on doing excellent work while maintaining a sensible approach to wellbeing and workload.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

As a trainee, my main responsibilities are to support the matter team by taking ownership of discrete tasks and producing high-quality work for review, while developing my core legal, business and technology skills and commercial awareness. Day to day, that means getting up to speed on the context and objectives, delivering accurate work to deadlines, keeping the team updated and flagging issues early, and proactively seeking (and acting on) feedback; in seats like CTO and Corporate, this can include drafting and refining contract and transaction documents, pulling together research notes, due diligence support, and helping to manage signing and completion steps.
