Networking Sales Support Review

I work as the Networking Sales Support intern.
My day-to-day role broadly involves collaborating and working with different sales sector teams to provide data forecasts on their sales and deal opportunities, as well as taking on formal reporting responsibilities in which I provide reports and analytics upon request on the activity, successes and gaps within a sales team.

One thing that has stood out to me from the very beginning of my placement with HPE is that you are given real, meaningful responsibilities from the very first day.
During the first month of onboarding with the outgoing intern in my role, I was working on meaningful and helpful tasks and projects that different sales teams were requesting in order to make the sales process more efficient. This has stayed true even after the previous intern has finished their placement, and my day-to-day consistently involves working with different colleagues to assist them on reporting, quoting and forecasting.
My time at HPE has already been incredibly beneficial for my confidence, learning and personal development, as well as my exposure to what it is really like to work in a corporate role for a worldwide company.

I truly believe I have learnt and developed my knowledge and skills more so in the past month than I had in any class or lecture.
Although school / university has set me up with an incredible amount of knowledge and understanding in the subjects I have chosen to pursue, the hands-on experience and exposure I have received from starting my placement has been invaluable.
I have been able to learn and apply the skills required from my role simultaneously, meaning I have been able to learn from my skills straight away. As a result, I have become much more confident and comfortable in a new environment in a short amount of time.

Once again, the support and guidance was a significant standout feature of HPE. Not only do they have an incredible intern community - where all of the new interns are closely supported whilst they settle into their roles and the company - the HPE community is posited upon the shared understanding that no question is a silly question. Every single person I have interacted with so far has been welcoming and willing to help with any questions I have, making me feel like a valued part of the HPE community straightaway.

The company culture is walm, welcoming and friendly. I am based in the Winnersh office and everyone is always up for a chat , whether it's work-related or just socially by the coffee machines.
Although we come in as interns and the newest additions to the company, from the beginning I felt welcomed and settled into the office, simply because of how talkative and friendly everyone was.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at HPE so far. I look forward to coming to work everyday and I am really excited to see what this year brings, in terms of networking opportunities, events and exposure to corporate life.
