I'm a Software Development Engineer Intern working on a project that helps internal users complete tasks more efficiently, often without the need to write code manually. My day-to-day role is to deliver coding tasks, test my work, learn from code reviews and feedback, collaborate with the team, and deepen my understanding of company systems and operations.

I've deepened my understanding of collaborative development using GitHub, where work is broken down into smaller tasks that are reviewed and approved by other team members. I've also developed new skills in building applications with Streamlit and working with AI agents that help complete tasks more efficiently.

I received a lot of support throughout my internship, both from my team and from people outside of it. I always felt comfortable asking questions, whether in person at the office, over messages, or by setting up a meeting. Everyone was very supportive, and the overall working environment felt friendly and safe, which made it easy to ask for guidance and get help when I needed it.

The company culture was very friendly and welcoming. I felt that the company genuinely cares about its employees and makes an effort to support a healthy work-life balance. The general atmosphere was also very positive, and people, working conditions, and overall environment made my experience pleasant and enjoyable.

I have really enjoyed my internship so far. As someone who had not worked in the industry before, I was very curious to learn how everything works within a company environment. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to complete my internship at Expedia, and will be happy to continue my career here after graduation.
