Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The week consisted of a number of workshops entailing CV writing, interviews, personal brand, overview of the city etc. We also had the opportunity to shadow a solicitor where we were given tasks and had the opportunity to ask many question. As well as multiple session with trainees, associates, HR team, partners all informing us of their experiences. lastly, every day consisted of an informal lunch gathering which was important broaden our social network.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It informed me that there were many individuals in a law firm etc HR, secretary’s, reprographics para legal etc that are essentially for the firm to function and act as the backbone; it is not only just lawyers. The opportunities are very broad and there’s always room for change to fit and try out what’s best for you.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight
5/5
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was extremely inclusive and diverse, all staff were polite and approachable making it very easy for me to feel comfortable and engage in conversation. It was nice to have an informal environment and get rid of the stigma that firms always have to be formal, professional and constantly converse about work and nothing else.
