Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Visa?
My time at Visa so far has been fantastic. I have had a wide-range of opportunities across a wide-range of areas - really gaining a holistic view of finance and technology. I have had clear opportunities to progress, I have been trusted to work on projects that have offered me a chance to develop and grow my knowledge, expertise and confidence.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I work within consulting, so working for clients on behalf of Visa to solve problems. Across my time here, I have worked with a wide-range of European Banks, fintechs and acquirers. I carry out research, ideate solutions, build materials and present to clients virtually and face-to-face. I also work internally for our consulting practice, helping us look at strategy, how we present ourselves, our processes, how we retain knowledge, hiring strategy. I have enjoyed it all, the variety of work and trying such a wide-range of things/

Super happy with this, my salary was great for a grad job and our benefits are fantastic too - flexible holidays, great wellness perks

Within my job I learn lots, and we get an educational allowance. There are structured learning opportunities too.

Really comprehensive, I think we receive professional and personal support with lots of touchpoints across the organisation and levels of seniority.
How is your work-life balance?

Really well-balanced, overall things fluctuate depending on what engagement I'm on, time of year, etc. - however we get wellness hours during the summer (finish at lunch on a Friday) and generally my work follows a 9-5 pattern

Absolutely, great company with strong progression opportunities, support and genuinely interesting to work for.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Visa?
Practice for the automated screening tests, these are very important. Research interview methodologies like STAR. For Visa specifically, make sure you are able to explain what Visa and what it does. This is much harder than for a lot of other companies!
