Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day tasks varied based on what department I was in. Spent an extended time in the laboratory completing microbiological and chemistry testing on milk products eventually covering shifts. Spent time in nearly every department on site but the process department was the main area I worked in. I was involved in day to day operations and milk processing also covering shifts. I also worked on projects both leading and supporting them with data analysis using various different softwares.

Lots of support provided throughout with a chance to spend extra time in departments of interest.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Developed my technical skills far beyond what I initially thought I would throughout the course. Also developed many soft skills.

Well organised with some areas for improvement, specifically around the end point assessment though this has seemingly already been addressed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Very good, any issues I could confidently bring up with my manager who would do their best to sort it.

It was a very well-tailored course for the industry, considering the range of sites different apprentices came from I don't think there is anything they could have done better to make the course applicable to everybody.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I play 5 a side football weekly and attend other ad hoc work extra-curricular events.
