MX Omnichannel Marketing Placement Review

I am the channel manager for a number of Disti / Pure Player (smaller, online focussed) accounts. What this entails on a day to day basis from a topline level, is that I create a marketing plan based on budget (partly business funded, partly commercially funded) , oversee the acitivity is executed to standard, analysie previous performance, and as a result take learnings to hopefully increase redemption rates on promotions and visibility on new products.

I was given more responsibility than expected, often covering in under resourced teams as I have done stints in B2C Channel Marketing, SES (Samsung Experience Stores) which are retail focussed, and now moving onto Channel Marketing from a B2B perspective - where I am covering for someone who left the business with 20+ years in B2B marketing. In short, provided you are able to manage it, you are expected to take on a role that would otherwise need to be backfilled by a full-time employee.

All the practical side of marketing which is relatively dissimilar to conceptual studies at university.

Plenty - few companies offer as much support and have as comprehensive a level of infrastructure put in place to enable a smooth handover period. From a people perspective, all of my managers have been supportive and provided the ideal balance between responsibility and expectation, in order to ensure I learned as much as possible and enjoyed the experience to its fullest.

Enjoyable, everyone is very cheerful and offsite events are always a good time .
