Supporting European content app partnerships on the Tizen OS Homescreen, by working with clients on QBRs as well as launching non-commercial marketing campaigns for them. I also strongly collaborated with European subsidiaries on local deals. Finally, I helped with Tizen Licensing (i.e. where we license the Samsung Tizen OS system to 3P manufacturers) by producing quarterly M/S OS reports and supporting the creation of a data dashboard to help with efficiency in creating these M/S reports.

Yes definitely, my manager did an amazing job in structuring my roles so that I would come out of the placement year with real ownership over tasks and having worked across a multitude of areas in the business.

I ultimately developed the skill of becoming a confident presenter in my placement year - I presented on client QBRs, subsidiary workshops, as well as the office townhall, where more than 100+ attendees were present. Which is something I definitely would not have experienced within my university degree. Aside from this, because my manager was supporting 3 teams, with 10+ direct reports, that I also by extension supported on a daily basis, I ended up also learning the importance of time management and collaboration.

Although I did not have a previous placement to show me the ropes in my first few weeks of joining, I had an amazing team and manager that I could really depend on to receive guidance and support. They were a lovely group of people who I also felt comfortable asking for feedback from, which definitely helped with my overall placement year experience and growth throughout the year.

It was amazing - I feel very lucky to have been able to spend a year here, and have had this as my first experience of corporate life. Everyone is really kind, but also great at their job, so I've definitely met a lot of role models that I hope to keep in touch and continue to learn from, post placement year.

I loved it, I definitely think this was the most transformative year throughout my university degree, and I've expressed that to both the people in my professional and personal life. I was able to target certain soft skills (e.g. presenting, collaboration etc), as well as make many connections that I am sure will help me in my future professional journey.
