Overall, how would you describe your experience at Visa?

Very good. The onboarding was smooth, everyone is friendly and helpful, and I could get right into the thick of things immediately.

The main responsibilities are to develop and test product components, writing clean and efficient code while utilizing GenAI tools. I enjoy working with my teammates and collaborating across teams and sites to deliver impactful features.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

There is no shortage of "important" work as each feature I work on within my team is a direct request from a customer, or sets up for new products. The team encourages me to pick up a variety of different work to get as much exposure and experience as possible.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The company values work-life balance as well as physical and mental health, so benefits extend to all these corners.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Visa to a friend?

Yes

Why?

While there are instances of high-pressure moments, especially during critical releases and timeframes, in general the company culture is quite relaxed and everyone is more than happy to help each other. There are a lot of experienced people around the office and across different sites, so it's never too scary to dive into something difficult or new. The emphasis on work-life balance is also great.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

5/5

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Visa?

Technical skills are crucial, but the ability to work within and across teams as well as ask questions and be curious are also important.
