Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Knight Frank?

Overall, my experience working at Knight Frank has been highly positive and rewarding. The graduate environment is particularly sociable, with a strong sense of cohesion across the cohort, making it easy to build relationships and collaborate with peers. The scheme's structured six-month rotations have been a key advantage of the programme, providing valuable exposure to different service lines and departments, allowing me to develop a broader understanding of the real estate industry (while also identifying and broadening areas of interest). Knight Frank also allows rotation between both the commercial and residential sector, which sets itself apart from other property graduate schemes.
Support from supervisors and colleagues has been consistently strong, with very approachable teams and individuals that are willing to help/network. This has created an encouraging working environment that supports both professional development and day-to-day learning. Additionally, Knight Frank offers excellent opportunities for progression, including hands-on project involvement and client exposure, which has helped build both technical competencies and personal confidence.
The firm’s commitment to professional development is further demonstrated through the funding and support provided for my MSc Real Estate degree at the University of the Built Environment, as well funding and preparation for the APC qualification. This provides a clear and supported pathway towards chartership, making the overall experience both professionally and academically beneficial.
The Early Careers team also continue to actively engage with our feedback, recently providing a rise in pay, an introduction of Knight Frank's 'Graduate Awards' to recognise outperforming individuals, funding and a committee for graduate socials, and a co-pilot license.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

During my first rotation in the London New Homes Project Marketing team, I gained valuable exposure to the residential sales process, and the strategic side of new developments. My role involved attending development launches, supporting the sales team with call-outs and viewings, and contributing to market appraisals and strategic real estate consultancy advice. This provided insight into how schemes are positioned within the market and how pricing and marketing strategies are tailored to maximise value. I particularly enjoyed the fast-paced and client-facing nature of the work, as well as the opportunity to attend launches and see developments brought to market, which made the role both engaging and rewarding.
My second rotation, within the Property Asset Management: Portfolios and Funds team, has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in understanding lease structures and the practical aspects of managing diverse property portfolios. I have been involved in reviewing leases, attending site inspections, and supporting the day-to-day management of a range of assets. This role also gave me the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and gain a broader understanding of management strategies. I particularly valued the supportive team environment and enjoyed meeting a range of people across different assets, which made the experience both professionally enriching and personally enjoyable.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

5/5
My role provides a strong opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued within the team. As a graduate, I am regularly involved in live projects and day-to-day tasks that directly support both client delivery and wider team objectives, which reinforces that my work has a genuine impact. Whether assisting with residential sales, contributing to market appraisals, or supporting portfolio management tasks, I am trusted to take on responsibility and deliver to a professional standard. I feel particularly valued due to the supportive nature of colleagues and supervisors, who are approachable, willing to provide guidance, and open to my input. Feedback is constructive and encourages development, while inclusion in meetings, site visits, and client-facing activities demonstrates that my contribution is recognised. Overall, the collaborative environment and level of responsibility given ensure that I am not only learning, but also actively adding value to the team.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

5/5
Our compensation package provides fair remuneration for the work undertaken, particularly when considered alongside the wider benefits offered. In addition to my base salary, Knight Frank provides access to a range of employee perks and discounts across various companies, which adds tangible day-to-day value. The inclusion of expense coverage for work-related activities, such as travel and client engagement, also highly benefits. Further benefits, including the cycle-to-work scheme and pension contributions, contribute to both personal wellbeing and long-term financial security. Perks also include a sign-on bonus and other yearly bonuses too.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

5/5
My role is preparing me very well for my future career, both professionally and academically. Through the structured graduate programme and rotational placements, I am gaining broad exposure to different areas of the real estate industry, which is helping me develop a well-rounded skill set and a clearer understanding of where my long-term interests lie.
In addition, the support and funding provided towards my MSc Real Estate degree and the APC qualification ensures that I am developing both the academic knowledge and professional competencies required for chartership. The guidance from supervisors and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals further enhances this development.

How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

5/5
I would consider my development of both new and existing skills to be very strong. The role consistently challenges me to step outside my comfort zone, which has accelerated my learning and confidence over time. Rather than relying solely on formal training, much of my development has come through practical exposure, namely being trusted to contribute to real tasks, problem-solve, and learn as I go.
