People Chapter Undergraduate Review

As a HR undergrad, I worked in the Growth & Development team. I was involved in creation of personal development tools and workshops, aided development and facilitation of programmes and courses (such as Manager Essentials for new management hires/promotions, First Leader Academy for developing people leading skills, Feedback for Growth for anyone looking to improve feedback soft skills, and more) and worked with multiple different stakeholders all throughout the business, even pitching growth ideas to the board of directors. My day-to-day role was never really the same, I had weekly calls to host but projects I was involved in were ever-changing and it kept things very exciting.

I have been given loads of responsibility throughout my time, as previously mentioned. I have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders in all areas of the company and even ran a personal growth development session with the board of directors. The work I have done on projects has had a significant and real impact on the company.

Yes, I have learnt many technological skills, developing my existing knowledge with software like powerpoint, excel, word etc. and also using SAPJam to create and edit site pages for all company employees to use and access. I have also significantly improved skills such as communication, presenting, facilitating, organisation, and many more.

Ample support has been provided to me, by both my line managers, university representatives, and all other colleagues I have worked with. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and always ready and willing to lend a hand if I got stuck with anything or needed any other support.
