Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In my role I would plan and create a lot of posts for social media but the people side so we can show the values of the business. I would help out with the Learning and Development section of HR where I would book/edit training courses and file certificates. I was given a task to start a new initiative for students at EGGER to increase connections which was nice.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, they treat you as a equal even though you are a student or come from little experience.

I gained a lot of confidence, from speaking in meetings to doing presentations it really develops your people skills working in a team too.

A lot, I was given a buddy which is on hand for any questions I may have as well as colleagues in the team always asking if I am alright and if there's anything I need help with.

Very positive and nice culture, where everyone is friendly and says hello even if they don't know you.

I enjoyed mine very much, I think it gives insight into what a career is like and you know its temporary so if you don't like the career you have picked you know not to go onto that next.

What advice would you give to others applying to Egger
I would say write a good cover letter explaining what it is you want to do and to show yourself through that. All you can do is be yourself.
