Marketing Undergraduate Review

Working as part of the product marketing team on a range of marketing activities, supporting at events with the sales team and wider teams, looking after Worktop POS materials, ordering group merchandise, recording for the HR and showroom support credits.
This role has been extremely dynamic and no two days are the same.

I have been given the responsibility of distribution of Worktop POS materials as well as showroom support credits which was handed down to me after a colleague left the team.
I have also been given loads of opportunities to represent EGGER at events and support the sales team in meetings.

I have gained B2B Marketing experience as well as having some exposure to B2B Sales in my role.
I have developed skills like teamwork, communication, prioritization and networking.
I have used SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft operating systems.

Throughout my placement I have felt and been fully supported by my manager and my team. I have fortnightly catch-ups with my manager where we discuss what am I doing, if I need any help or need more to do. My manager has always pushed me and encourages me to take on new challenges.
This applies to the wider team who are always happy to help.
Further to this everyone in the company is really nice and helpful, everyone wants to see you succeed which is really nice. It is an amazing environment to be in as a placement student.

EGGER is an Austrian family business, in its 3rd generation and you can feel it - everyone is friendly and working towards the same goal. Every person I have spoke to and dealt with has been pleasant.
It is a great nurturing environment.
EGGER also put a massive focus on sustainability, they also put loads of effort into raising money for charity as well as supporting the local community. Inclusivity is very important to EGGER.
The company host and initiative called EGGER Runs, they also have monthly challenges to encourage everyone to stay active.
It is a great company to work for.

I have really enjoyed my placement, I have had so many opportunities, working with and meeting loads of people. My favourite thing is the events, getting to meet customers and spend time with the sales team.
My placement has been rewarding and set me up very well for my professional career.
I did not have much of an expectation going into my placement as this has been my first corporate job but I have been blown away by the opportunities I have had off the back of my placement. I could not recommend EGGER more, it is a great place to develop your skills and gain a mass of knowledge about manufacturing.
